Grassella Oliphant
Grassella Oliphantは1929年9月1日に生まれた。
1952年にはAhmad Jamal、1950年代にSarah Vaughanのバックを務めたほか、Gloria Lynne、Shirley Scottとも共演した。
1960
年代にAtlantic Recordsよりソウル系ジャズのアルバムを2枚リリースしている。Grass
Rootsは1965年にリリースされており、Harold OusleyやBobby
Hutchersonが参加しているほか、1968年にリリースのThe Grass is GreenerはJohn PattonとGrant
Greenをフィーチャーしている。
その後40年にわたり、Grassella Oliphantは音楽活動から身を引き、2000年代になりNew Jersey周辺で活動を再開した。
